What We Built Together in 2025

As we wrap up this year, I’ve been reflecting on what it really takes to build healthy communities across Missouri. And what keeps coming up, again and again, is this: communities already have the solutions.

Our role at Build Missouri Health is to help clear the path; to create the conditions where community-led solutions can take root and grow strong. In 2025, we took major steps to create those conditions in Missouri.

This year, we added seven new fiscally sponsored projects, bringing our total to ten community-led efforts across the state.

From providing ongoing resources for folks displaced by the May 16th tornado in St. Louis to support for parents in rural Missouri, our fiscally-sponsored partners are truly making a difference in the health of Missourians.

Check out the full list of our partners and find information on how your organization can partner with us.

314 Oasis

314 Oasis, our fiscally sponsored partner, is a collective effort in community care, providing immediate and long-term support to people impacted by the trauma of the May 16th tornado in St. Louis.

In addition to  strengthening our internal systems, including fundraising and operations, so our partners can focus on the work that matters most, we also developed and introduced our own Youth Community Leaders Program in 2025, grounded in the belief that young people already have powerful ideas for their own communities.

This program invests in the next generation of local leaders, and our inaugural cohort will launch in Northeast Missouri in 2026.

To support this work, we're proud to share that our Board Giving Campaign reached 100% participation, raising over $11,000 to help fund Youth Community Leaders’ stipends for local projects.

We are  only $5,000 away from meeting our goal to fund stipends for our inaugural 12 youth leaders in 2026.

As Build Missouri Health continues to evolve in our third year, we remain very much in start-up mode—testing, learning, and building as we go.
We are so very grateful for our Board, our projects’ donors, funders, and all those cheerleaders whose encouragement and innovation inspire us to keep doing the work of health equity.

As we look ahead, we invite you to be part of what’s next. Your year-end gift helps us continue our work of supporting community-led solutions to health equity challenges across Missouri.

Thank you for believing in this work, and in the people leading it. We wish you a very happy holiday season and a healthy 2026!
